Matt & Ice

Drift snow is caught in a powerful wind rotor in the lee of an ice cliff. Mt Kirkby, Prince Charles Mountains. Matt Godbold can be seen in the distance, making his way across the hard blue ice beneath the swirling snow. Summer tempertures here were a balmy minus 20 degrees celcius, with wind chill often getting down to minus 60.
