Icy Albatross

Silhouetted against a giant iceberg, this Light-mantled sooty albatross soars silently over the Southern Ocean. Known for its graceful flight, the sooty albatross has long, narrow wings, perfect for gliding in windy conditions. Like most albatrosses, these birds are restricted to latitudes between 40 and 50 degrees south - the windiest latitudes on earth.
